The Tempest
By William Shakespeare
A crew of people from different walks of life are shipwrecked on a Magical Island... What could possibly happen?
A community of York's young people working together to put on a play in a week!
For all youth between the ages of 9 and 18 years, who will be in and around the city of York over the school summer break. New faces are always welcome! PLACES ARE STRICTLY LIMITED!
There's nothing quite like watching the professionals lead the way, so our workshop includes a ticket to the Rose Theatre, York, to watch a professional production of The Tempest on Saturday 6th July at 7.30pm!
Experience being part of a drama company and gain communication and performance skills taught by a highly experienced and passionate coaching team and drama agency! We are intentionally limiting places to just 15 youth so we can work with each young person individually.
We're supporting the working brigade of parents who we all know are the real heroes in every young person's story! All our staff are CRB checked and our venue will be Clifton Parish Church, Shipton Road, YO30 6BH (car parking available and walking distance from the city centre).
We'll be performing at the Riverside Arts Barge on Friday 26th at 3.30pm and at the Rose Theatre (before their main performance!) This is going to be a great experience and a wonderful opportunity to showcase everybody's hard work.
There's no need to buy costumes and props will be provided! Just bring your own pack-up and drinks.
