Meet your mentors

Frances Simon

Frances began her training at the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain. Following her time there she embarked on a 3-year rigorous drama training at the Webber Douglas Academy in London. Frances Qualified with the Acting Academy Diploma with Distinction. On completing her diploma, Frances attended the Arts Educational School and received a 2:1 BA Honours in Acting. Professional work after training included featuring in BBC Drama series Casualty, BBC Final Demand and in regional theatre. A National Theatre tour brought her to York, and it was at this point, early on in her career, that she realised raising her daughter was the most important role for her and hung up her professional acting hat. Frances is now an established teacher of the internationally recognised LAMDA exams whose young people receive enviably outstanding results in the exam centres she leads. She is founder of the France Simon Talent Agency and uses her pastoral skills to nurture talent in York and beyond.

Testimonials

Thank you for this week. Josh has really enjoyed his time with you. Hes come out of himself, and is really interested in drama again after losing his confidence. As we speak he's on a call with some of the others from the group, and he hasn't had many friends to talk to lately. So Thank you again.
